To get the most out of these programs for you and your staff, it is suggested that you:

• Announce the date and time of the program well in advance
• Make participation a priority - because of the low cost and convenience of webinars, it can be easy for employees to "blow off" a session.
• If there are materials provided as part of the program, make sure they're photocopied and distributed well in advance.
• Find a room appropriate for the number of people who will be participating and make sure that the technology you'll be using has been tested in advance.
• Encourage participants to come up with questions ahead of time and to participate if opportunities for discussion/interaction are part of the program.
• Debrief after the program to share key learnings and insights and to reinforce points made that are specifically relevant to your institution.

Without a shadow of a doubt, technology is continuously improving training access, constantly increasing opportunities to provide valuable support and education to a large staff range, and at a greater frequency, for a lower cost, than ever before. Although traditional training will still have its place, technology-enabled webinars offer financial institutions a wider range of options to ensure that staff are receiving the information they need, when they need it, and without disrupting customer service or productivity.
