The Flood Disaster Protection Act course provides an overview of the requirements for processing transactions covered by this act. Students will gain an understanding of the coverage requirements and exemptions, and the disclosures required in these transactions.

   Audience:  Frontline employees involved in the lending process, including mortgage, consumer and small business lenders, loan processors and loan servicing personnel.

   At the conclusion of the program participants will be able to:

• Explain the purpose of the National Flood Insurance Program
• Explain when a flood determination must be made
• Describe the types of loans subject to flood insurance
• Explain the bank’s responsibilities for ensuring flood insurance is in place
