Financial Accounting
is
best
suited to individuals who have completed
General Accounting
or previously taken a basic accounting course. This course not only emphasizes
the 'how' of accounting; it also allows for application of concepts to real
companies, and helps to develop the analytical and decision-making skills of the
learner. Topics range from the basics such as financial statement preparation
to more advanced topics such as accounting for debt, equity, investments, cash
flow, financial performance, and business consolidation.
This course emphasizes current practices of accounting procedures and includes
coverage of the latest principles set forth by the Financial Accounting
Standards Board (FASB).
Note:
Given the level of difficulty of this course, it is suggested that you not
enroll in other courses while taking this one.
