Financial Accounting is best suited to individuals who have completed <= span style=3D'text-decoration:none;text-underline:none'>General Accounting or previously tak= en a basic accounting course. This course not only emphasizes the 'how' of accounting; it also allows for application of concepts to real companies, a= nd helps to develop the analytical and decision-making skills of the learner. Topics range from the basics such as financial statement preparation to more advanced topics such as accounting for debt, equity, investments, cash flow, financial performance, an= d business consolidation. This course emphasizes current practices of accounting proced= ures and includes coverage of the latest principles set forth by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB).

Note: Given the level of difficult= y of this course, it is suggested that you not enroll in other courses while tak= ing this one.
